Dr. Gayle Doornbos
Gayle Doornbos is an experienced teacher who has taught students online and in the classroom at Calvin Theological Seminary and Wycliffe College. Gayle also teaches regularly at her local church. She loves seeing the way that sustained engagement with Scripture and theology can transform and enrich the faith and practice of Christians.
Gayle Doornbos (Ph.D., Th.M., M.T.S.)
Gayle Doornbos is passionate about working with students to help them integrate their theological understanding with their personal piety and turn the particulars of theology into publicly relevant and socially constructive practice. She is an experienced teacher who has taught students online and in the classroom at Calvin Theological Seminary and Wycliffe College, and Dordy University. Gayle also teaches regularly at her local church. She loves seeing the way that sustained engagement with Scripture and theology can transform and enrich the faith and practice of Christians.
Gayle earned her doctorate at the University of St. Michael’s College at the University of Toronto, where she focused on Trinitarian theology. She also holds a Th.M. in Philosophical Theology and a M.T.S. in Biblical Studies from Calvin Theological Seminary. Gayle grew up as a pastor’s kid in New Mexico, where her love of theology was cultivated from an early age. She has also spent a significant amount of time living and working with academic and ecclesial communities in Michigan and Canada. She currently lives in Lynden, WA and continues to cultivate her love for theology by writing, researching, and teaching. She also loves the mountains and goes hiking any chance that she gets.
Dr. Michael Collender
Dr. Micheal Collender earned his Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa, working on the problem of modeling complex systems. He has taught philosophy and leadership studies at Gonzaga University, Spokane, WA, for over a decade.
Michael Collender (D.Phil., M.A., B.A.)
Dr. Michael Collender is passionate about mentoring Christian leaders in biblical wisdom and leadership. He taught philosophy and leadership studies, at the undergraduate, graduate and doctoral levels, at Gonzaga University, Spokane, WA, for over a decade. He has also researched and lectured at US Joint Forces Command’s Joint Forces Staff College, Norfolk, VA, on strategy and leadership and has been a Visiting Fellow of the Philosophy Institute of the Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium. He earned his D.Phil. in Philosophy from the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa, working on the problem of interpreting and modeling complex natural and social systems. Currently, he is completing a second doctorate in Theology at the University of South Africa focusing on the Old Testament’s wisdom tradition. He studied theology at The Master’s Seminary, and earned a Master of Arts degree in Philosophy of Religion from Liberty University. He has taught public speaking, rhetoric and persuasion for two decades and is the author of the forthcoming rhetoric textbook A Rhetoric of Love; Volume Two, published by Veritas Press.
Dr. Dale Brueggemann
Dr. Brueggemann holds an earned Ph.D. in Hermeneutics from Westminster Seminary (PA). He earned a Master of Arts in Bible and his Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy. He has over 35 years of teaching experience lecturing on the Old Testament with an emphasis in missions.
