Sheree Lear (Ph.D., M.Litt.., B.A.)
Sheree Lear earned a PhD in Hebrew Bible/Old Testament and an MLitt in the Theological Interpretation of Scripture from the University of St Andrews, Scotland. She earned her BA in Biblical Languages from Central Bible College/Evangel University.
Sheree has been involved in ministry in one way or another her entire life. She grew up on the mission field (West Africa) and later attended Bible college with the intention of being a minister. She fell in love with studying and went to St Andrews for a master’s degree and later a PhD. During her studies, she met a lecturer from the University of Pretoria, married him and moved to South Africa, where they worked for the Department of Ancient Languages and Cultures for three years. Sheree and her husband then moved to the United States where Sheree was a lead pastor for three years in West Nyack, New York. She currently is an assistant professor of Old Testament at North Central University and is the Director of the Bible and Theology program.
Sheree is passionate about online teaching, something she has done quite a bit for various institutions in the past. She and her husband currently live in downtown Minneapolis with their two children, Junia and Arie.
