Teach Every Nation (TEN) Leaders, Welcome!
TEN leaders and deans can apply for up to 9 credits toward Redemption Seminary’s Master of Arts in Biblical Studies program (MABS). The Seminary will consider each student’s prior learning (including what they have learned through TEN courses and their ministry leadership experiences) and grant credit accordingly.
Supporters too, who have prior experiential learning, are welcome to apply for transfer credit.
Learning at your pace and location from well-known scholars with all of the materials is now possible for a fraction of the cost of traditional seminaries. Sample a single course or complete an accredited master’s program (learn more at the Degree Page).
You can get started today by filling out the request information (below). We are happy to send you links to the Student Handbook and Course Catalog.
How It Works
6—9 TRANSFER CREDITS
TEN leaders and deans who complete 21 of the 30 TEN courses, receive a TEN/SATS certificate, and have been engaged in ministry leadership can apply for 6 credits toward Redemption’s Master of Arts in Biblical Studies (MABS) program. The 6 transfer credits replace the ninth mentored course (RS731 Theology in Culture and Context) in Redemption’s MABS program. Those who complete all 30 of the TEN courses may receive up to 3 additional credits, for a total of 9 transfer credits. The additional 3 credits will be counted toward an additional 3-credit mentored course (SF511 Spiritual Formation for Ministry Leaders or ED621 Discipleship).
Applying to Redemption Seminary
State Eligibility
Residents outside of the U.S. are welcome to apply, but currently, there are some states (AK, CT, DC, DE, MA, MD, MI, NV, NY, OR, RI, UT, WY) where Redemption Seminary has not yet received authorization to serve their residents online. If you are a resident of one of these states please fill out the Inquiry Form below so we can let you know when that state becomes available for us to serve residents.
Academic Eligibility
As a graduate school, Redemption Seminary must maintain an admission policy for its master’s program that requires an accredited undergraduate degree. However, each year Redemption can offer a limited number of qualified exceptions to this policy for those who can demonstrate prior learning equivalent to an undergraduate degree.
No prerequisite is required to take non-graded courses.
Process
TEN and Redemption Seminary are separate institutions. You must apply to Redemption Seminary individually.
How Long Will it Take to Complete the Redemption Program?
Redemption Seminary courses take about 15 hours per week if you want to complete them in 7 weeks. The Redemption program at a moderately fast pace is 12 eight-week terms (but completing the TEN courses could remove two of those terms). So this would result in 1 3/4 years (one course at a time). Most people prefer to protect themselves (ensuring that they will complete everything by their last mentor session) by working through the course material before meeting with a mentor. It would be normal for a student to complete transferrable TEN courses and the Redemption program concurrently in 2-3 years.
Benefits of Redemption
Lectures recorded from well-known scholars
Start immediately and work at your own pace (100% online)
Workbook approach
Weekly individual meetings with mentors you choose (assess work in a conversational setting rather than high-stakes exams)
All materials (books) included. Logos Redemption Library is gifted upon graduation to students who complete all the MABS courses. If SF511 and RS731 are skipped, students have the option to receive the library if they pay a $400 library fee ($200 per skipped course) charged at the time of graduation. This is optional and only needs to be paid if you want to keep the library.
